2. T: What’s yur first name?

3. Divide the class int Grup A and B. Draw tw baby birds n the blackbard as their symbls, tell the students that each time they answer questins right, they can get ne r mre pints fr their grup and draw ne r mre cluds belw their bird, at the end f the class, the grup which gets mre cluds will be the winner tday. II. Presentatin
T shws a pen and asks “What’s this in English?” Ss: It’s a pen. T writes a pen n the blackbard. Then shw a pencil and ask the same questins. Write the wrd n the blackbard. After all the wrds are n the blackbard, ask them t read after the teacher. Then practice like this. If the teacher reads the wrd crrectly, students read after the teacher. If the teacher des nt read that wrd, the students shuld stp. If ne student reads at this time, then he r she will lse a pint. First the teacher reads slwly, then fast, then faster.
III. Summary
Write a sentence: This is yur ruler. This is a statement. Is this yur ruler? This is an interrgative sentence. In writing, an interrgative sentence ends with a questin mark. In spken English, yur vice ges dwn when yu speak a statement, and yur vice ges up when yu speak an interrgative sentence.

Ask the students t match the wrds and bjects in the picture by writing the letter f the bject n the blank line after the wrd. Fcus attentin n each f the three cnversatins. Ask students t identify the bjects the persn in each cnversatin is hlding r pinting t.(A by is hlding a pencil, a girl is hlding a ruler, and the teacher is pinting t a backpack.)
Then Play the recrding the first time. Students nly listen. Pint ut the bxes where students will write a number in the bx t each cnversatin.

1. Get the students t listen again repeat each cnversatin. Pay attentin t the falling and rising tnes in each cnversatin.
2. pint t the bk in the main illustratin and substitute bk int ne f the cnversatins. Ask students t practice the cnversatin in pairs. Remind them t use varius bjects frm the main illustratin. The teacher checks the prgress and prnunciatin.
VI.Wrk n 2a and 2b
Pint t the bjects in the illustratin and ask students t name each ne. Play the recrding the first time. Students nly listen. Play the recrding a secnd time. This time students put a checkmark in the blank after each item whse name is mentined in the cnversatin. Then ask students t pint t the blank lines in the cnversatin. Say, Yu will write ne f the wrds frm the bx n each blank line.
Nw let’s listen t the tape and repeat. Please try t recite the cnversatin like the tape. Practice. First imitate then fill in the blanks.
