Leading-in（导入活动）Greet the students as usual.（日常问候）Revision（复习）T: Can you play the guitar?S: Yes, I can./No, I can’t.T: Can he play the drums?S: Yes, he can./No, he can’t.通过师生对话形式的复习，检查学生对于上个单元情态动词的掌握情况。  II．Presentation（呈现）1.Ask and answer.T: What can you do?S: I can play the guitar.T: What club do you want to join?S: I want to join the music club.T: What about you?(to the other students)Ask individual students. 通过问答，进一步呈现目标语言。锻炼学生的口语表达能力。III．Practice（练习）A. Read the conversation between Jane and Bob, and answer the questions:What club does he/she want to join?What are they good at?B. Role-play the conversation.First get the students to practice the conversation in pairs, and the invite some pairs to role-play the conversation.Have a match between groups. Which group performs better?课本中2d部分的对话是很好的训练材料，充分利用好对话，对其中重要句型以及情态动词的用法进行反复练习，让学生在不断的练习中掌握它们的用法。      IV．Consolidation(巩固提升)Grammar Focus（语法总结）
情态动词can小结：后面总是接动词原形,没有人称和数的变化.意思是“能，会”，可记口诀：
情动can表能力，和行为动词不分离；
不管主语如何变,，can的模样永不变；
只要出现情动can，动词原形后面站；
一般疑问can提前，否定can后not添。
B. Exercises: (趁热打铁多练习）

 通过这一课时的学习，学生对于情态动词的用法基本上了解了，通过对“Grammar Focus”的讲解和口诀记忆，让学生牢固掌握其用法。这一部分是考试的重点，应趁热打铁多做练习，通过练习的形式，加以巩固。V．Homework（作业布置）Revise the usage of the model verb “can”. 复习情态动词“can”的用法。Make a conversation after 2d.Preview Section B.   板书设计Unit 1 Can you play the guitar？Period 2 Section A 2d-3c1.Can you swim?         Yes, I can./No, I can't.
