Fill in the blanks with the words in the box.Elicit from Ss which of the words in the box are nouns, verbs and adjectives. On the board: Nouns : kilometers Verbs: get to, takes , leave ,walk Adjectives: boring2. Have Ss read the passage in 3a .Ask them to write “nouns”, “verb”, or “adjective” in each blank.3. Ask Ss to choose the correct word from those in that of speech group as shown on the board.4. Check answers as a class. Step 3 Writing 3b Write an E-mail to Tom and tell him how you get to school.Have Ss copy their e-mail onto a new piece of paper.Have Ss write six words from the e-mail at the top of their pieces of paper before erasing the words from the e-mail . The words should be nouns ,adjectives or verbs.Have Ss give their fill-in-the-blanks activities to their parters.Have Ss try to complete the e-mails before checking answers with their parters. Finish by asking two or three Ss to read out their parters’ e-mails.
