一、unless的基本用法     连词unless意为“除非……; 如果不……”，“除了……”，多引导一个否定意义的真实条件句，有时也可引导非真实条件句。unless引导条件句时，主要用于下列情况。
(1)主句为肯定句。如：如果我不到城里每一家书店去看看，我就不知道是否能买到我想要的书。Unless I visit every bkstre in twn, I shall nt knw whether I can get what l want．你要不快点就会错过班车。Yu will miss the bus unless yu hurry up．    如果你不再加把劲，你化学考试还会不及格。Yu’ll fail in chemistry again unless yu wrk harder．
(2)主句为否定句。如：要不是你经常给发动机上油，它就不会转得那么顺畅。Unless yu il the mtr regularly, it wn’t run smthly．要是我对这些事情没有把握，我就不说这话了。I wuldn’t be saying this unless I were sure f the facts．如果你不设定目标，你哪儿也去不了。Yu will never get anywhere unless yu have set yur gal．
as sn as 意思为“A事件发生后就做B事件”，“一……就……”，引导时间状语从句。
在每一个大的时间段内，A和B的时态要统一。比如A过去式，B肯定也在过去时内。其它也是如此。至于在每个大时间段内，再根据A和B两件事的具体情况，具体对待。

as sn as 连接的时间状语从句中，指未发生的动作，规律是主句一般将来时，从句用一般现在时代替一般将来时。如：I will tell him the news as sn as he cmes back.as sn as指紧接着发生的两个短动作，主从句都用一般过去时。如：He tk ut his English bks as sn as he sat dwn.
“s … that”句型的意思是“如此/这么……以致于……”，常引导结果状语从句。该句型及其转换也是中考的热点。其用法如下所示：
s…that…句型中s是副词，常常用来修饰形容词或副词，常用句型为：主语 + 谓语 +s + adj. /adv. + that从句。1. he is s yung that she can't lk after herself.2. The by ran s fast that I culdn't catch him.3. He was s angry that he culdn't say a wrd.

在“such … that …”句型中，such修饰名词，意思是“如此 …… 以致于……”。但当名词前有many、much、(a) few、(a) little等词修饰时，句子中要用“s…that…”而不能用“such…that…”。例如：He has s much mney that he can buy what he wanted.There is s little water in the glass that I can’t drink any mre.
s与that也可连起来写，即变成：… s that … (以便/为了……)，引导目的状语从句。例如：I gt up early s that I culd catch the early bus.Please pen the windw s that we can breathe fresh air.Yu must g nw s that yu wn't be late.
