Martin Murray is a fifteen-year-ld by. He used t be a "prblem child', but a recent cnversatin with his mther changed is life. He didn't use t give his mther many prblems. Hwever, after his father's death a few years ag, Martin’s life became much mre difficult. His mther culdn’t affrd t pay fr her children's educatin. T d this, she had t wrk, and s was nt ften at hme.
His mther lked after him as well as she culd. Unfrtunately, Martin still caused prblems fr himself and his family. He was nt interested in studying, and he ften gt int truble with the plice. Luckily, his mther was very patient, and didn’t give up trying t help him. In the end, she made a difficult decisin: t send him t a bys' barding schl. Martin hated it and used t cause a lt f truble. One day, he tld his teacher he wanted t leave the schl. Even the teacher agreed that Martin was wasting his time.
The head teacher said it was necessary t talk with his mther. Martin called his mther, but t his surprise, this phne call changed his life. “It was exactly what I needed,” he said. “My mther helped me t understand hw much she had given me. She als tld me that even thugh my father was n lnger with us, he was watching me, and wuld always take pride in everything gd I d. That’s when I decided t change. I realize that since my father died, I have been afraid f being alne, and have tried t make my mther pay mre attentin t me.”
Nw Martin has really changed. He has been wrking hard, and is nw a tp student in his class.
