2b. To give Ss practice in listening for specific information. Paraphrase the sentences: express each sentence in a different way without changing the meaning of the sentence.
2c. To give Ss guided practice in talking about how things affect people. How does it make you feel? How does waiting for people make you feel? How does loud music make you feel? How do sad movies make you feel?
2d. To give Ss more practice in using the target language in natural speech. Class discussion: After Ss have role-played the conversation, conduct a brief class discussion and encourage Ss to comment on the advice given by Bert. Ask Ss: Do you have any other advice to give to Nancy? |
