Unit 3 Welcome to our school!Reading教学目标1 用英语介绍校园内的各类设施。2 用适当的语言向他人介绍校园环境。教学内容四会内容词汇:so show around front building ground ground floor bright modern hall diary 词组:show sb. Around句型:The playground is so big. My classroom is on the ground floor.This way, Mum.教学准备1 校园内不同建筑物和活动场地的图片。2 校园的平面示意图。3 录音机或光盘:4 课件。背景知识校园开放日是学校对外开放的日子,常采取集中开放与日常开放相结合的形式进行。在这一天,家长和社会各界人士均可到校参观并参与学校的一些活动。通过这种对外交往形式,可以加强学校与家长和社会的联系,提升学校的社会影响力。教学步骤Step I 呈现1 与学生就自己学校的情况进行交流,呈现新知识。教师说:Look at our school Is it beautiful? Do you like it? 鼓励学生表达自己的真实观点。教师说:I think our school is beautiful. It is so good. 板书so。接着问学生:What can you see in the school? 鼓励学生根据实际情况回答:We can see tall trees, beautiful flowers and a playground.2 教师接着向学生呈现事先准备好的校园图片。教师说:In our school, we can also see some buildings. Look at this building. Some tall trees are in front of it. 板书building和in front of。教师呈现更多照片并说:What’s in front of …? Which building is our classroom in? Which building is our art room in? Which building is our school hall in? 板书hall,检验学生掌握的情况。教师接着说:Look at this building. How many floors are there in the building? 和学生一起数:Let’s count. One, two, three, four. Oh, there are four floors in this building. 指着一楼说: This is the ground floor. Is our classroom on the ground floor? 板书ground和on the ground floor,鼓励学生根据实际情况回答。3 教师利用所在教室继续呈现新知识。教师说:Our classroom is on … floor. The classroom is so bright. We have a computer room too. It looks very modern. 板书bright 和modern。Step II 操练1 向学生展示校园的平面示意图,指导他们用学过的表达谈论自己的校园。教师 说:Our school is a beautiful school. Today, some foreign visitors come to our school. Would you please look at the map and introduce our school to them? 教师可以为学生提供一些句型: (1) There are…buildings in our school. (2) There are…floors in the building. (3) … is on the ground floor. (4) The classroom is.... (5) … is in front of….2 鼓励学生看平面图,用简单的语言介绍校园。对有能力的学生,可以启发他们 用更丰富的语言介绍。Step III 呈现1 向学生介绍课文对话背景,并呈现新知识。教师说:Today is the Open Day in Millie’s school. Millie meets her mother at the school gate. She is ready to show her mother around the school. 板书show sb. Around。2 向学生呈现校园内不同建筑物和活动场地的图片,指导学生阅读对话,并指出图片所代表的地点。教师说:Here are some pictures of different places in Millie’s school. Let’s follow Millie to visit her school and know the places. 为学生播放录音,鼓励学生读完对话后说出图片上的地点:the playground,the classroom,building,the classroom,the art room,the music room,the computer room,the library and the hall。3 指导学生再次听录音,以便对Millie的学校有进一步的了解,之后通过课本B1和B2部分的练习检查学生的掌握状况。教师说:Please read the conversation again. Then I’d like to check how well you know Millie’s school.4 安排学生根据对话内容,完成B3的判断练习。教师说:Look at the information about Sunshine Middle School in Part B3. Read the conversation once more. Then write a T if the sentence is true. Write an F if it is false.Step IV 操练1 再次为学生播放录音,指导他们跟读对话。教师说:Let’s read Millie and her mother’s conversation after the tape.2 将班级分成两大组,请学生分别扮演Millie和她的母亲朗读对话。教师说:I’d like these two groups to be Millie and these two groups to be her mother. Shall we read the conversation? Then we can change the roles. 如有需要还可以分男女再次朗读。3 创设情境,组织学生以四人小组为单位,针对课文互相提问。教师说:Millie’s father doesn’t go to her school on the Open Day. So he is asking Millie’s mother some questions. Suppose you are Millie’s father. What do you want to know about Millie and her school? 对能力较弱的学生,教师可提供一些问题供他们参考:(1) Where do you meet today?(2) How does Millie’s school look?(3) What about the playground/library?(4) How many classrooms are there in the classroom building?(5) Where is Millie’s classroom?(6) What do you think of Millie’s classroom?(7) What else is in her school?(8) Where do you have the meeting?…Step V 活动1 指导学生两人一组练习对话表演。教师说:It’s role-play time. Work in pairs and suppose you are Millie and her mother.2 鼓励学生尝试表演对话,提醒学生神态、动作等力求自然。对有能力的学生可让他们适当发挥,设计新的情节。3 教师请不同层次的几组学生表演,允许学生根据情节需要,在教室内白由走动。4 如学生有困难,可以将对话分成几部分表演。Step VI 家庭作业1 熟读课文。2 有能力的学生熟背。3 完成教师布置的书面练习。
