2:能力目标:To reinforce students ability to skim text for overall meaning and scan for detai
3:情感目标:1)To encourage the students to join the Birdwatching Club.
2)To develop the ability to infer the general meaning from the title and context.
二,教学重点与难点:1.The usage of some key words and phrases.
2.To catch the main idea of the article.
三:教学资源:A small blackboard ,pictures , a recorder.
四:教 学方法:By listening to the tape & reading ,understanding it.
五:教学过程
(一)温故﹑自学﹑群学(预习作业与预习交流)
A:检查学生预习单词情况(个别读且纠正——集体读——巩固重点单词)。
B:重要短语(小组核对答案——教师提示重点词组注意点——读背词组).

C:预习作业交流(小组核对——集体校对——质疑交流).
(二)展示交流质疑和训练点拨提高
A:Presentation
1) Ask the students talk about their favourite birds.
2) Have a dictation of some key phrases.
3) Talk about a picture of Zhalong.
4)Talk about a picture of a “red crowned crane” and learn the new words like wetland/shelter/rare…
B:Practice
1)Listen to the tape and try tofind out the answers to the following questions
2) Read the article silently and focus on the questions.
3) Listen to the tape and practise the passage.
4) Get the students to complete the following table(.见学案)
C:Production
1 . Do C1 on Page 79 and check the answers .
2. Retell the passage according to the key words on the blackboard.
(Location/ land type/ importance/ rare birds/ dangers/ actions people take)
3. Talk about Zhalong and then do Part B2 on Page 78
( Complete the conservation between Sandy and Daniel)
