Teaching  aims:

教学目标：1. 知识目标 To get more detailed information about Zhalong Nature Reserve.

          2. 能力目标 To analyze the sentences for the students to get a better understand.

          3. 情感目标 To make sure the students know the importance of wetlands and nature

                      reserves.

教学重点：1. To get more detailed information about Zhalong Nature Reserve.

          2. To master the use of “provide endangered tourist stay change count importance”

教学难点：1. To analyze the sentences for the students to get a better understand.

          2. To understand the meaning of” more and more birds / less and less space “

教学教具：A small blackboard  a recorder  pictures.

预习检测：一：Read and recite the following phrases（15分钟）

            1. 自然保护区                2。在中国东北部

            3．不同种类的植物            4。一次短暂的停留

            5．重要的居住地              6。整年呆在这里

            7．教某人不要做某事          8。罕见的丹顶鹤

            9．湿地的重要性              10。积极采取行动保护野生生物

          二：Read and answer some questions about the text

1. Where is Zhalong Nature Reserve?
2. Why do we say Zhalong is a special place?
3. Why are wetlands so important for wildlife?
4. What kinds of birds live in Zhalong?
5. What will happen if people change the wetlands?
6. What does the Birdwatching Club need people to do?

          三．Try to retell the reading.

教学过程：Step One: pre-checking。

1. work in groups to check out the prepared work.(一)
2. oral practice (one by one)
3. read by themselves  and  read together.
4. let some students answer these questions. (二)
5. solve the problems together。

          Step Two: listening and answering

1. listen to the recorder (twice)
2. answer the questions:

(2)  What should we do?

          Step Three: cooperative study

             Now you know Zhalong well. If you are a tour guide, how do you introduce Zha-

              long to the tourists?

1. Is it good to build more and more tall buildings?
2. Is it good to build more and more factories along the rivers/lakes?
3. Can we often see birds flying in the sky in the city?
4. What can we do to protect the birds/fish?

         Step Seven: Production

             If you are a member of the Birdwatching Club, can you tell us something about your club?

             (study \  do a bird count\  need more people to help\  hope the information will

             help people…)

         Step Eight:: Sum up ( learn more about the wetlands ，  understand the reading

         Step Nine: Further  practice  in  class（10分钟）
