教学步骤
Step I呈现
1教师说:I like reading very much.Books give me knowledge and new ideas. During the winter holiday, I spent much time reading novels in the library. On weekdays, I read newspapers and magazines for about an hour. At weekends, I spend more time reading. These are reading habits. What about you? Do you often read books? What type of book do you like best? Share your opinions with us. 鼓励学生自由发挥,大胆回答。
2教师告诉学生:There’S a survey on reading habits on page 60. Complete the survey with your own information.
3完成调查表后,建议学生两人一组交换,了解他人的阅读习惯。教师说:Share your information with your partner and learn about each other’s reading habits.
4教师就调查表上的问题,询问几组学生,让学生谈谈自己的阅读习惯。在回答问题时,要求学生尽量用完整的句子。教师说:Let me interview some of you.
5教师就学生回答的内容,让他们谈谈对图书、阅读的看法。教师说:Do you think reading is important? Why / Why not?
6教师说:Besides the six questions,you can add one or more question to the survey. 让学生思考自己最想了解的有关阅读习惯的其他信息,补充一些问题。
Step II阅读
1教师说:Millie also took part in the survey and she wrote a report about her reading habits. Read her report and tell what each paragraph is about.

2教师播放录音,让学生跟读,加深对文章的理解。教师说:Listen and read after the tape.教师板书:reading habit、the four great classical Chinese novels、 opposite my home、give me lots of advice on books、discuss what to read、help me relax after a busy day、open up a whole world to me。
3敖师可以就读书的意义提问学生:Why do you like reading books? What can we learn from reading? 教师可将学生有意义的回答写在黑板上,让其他学生借鉴,告诉学生在接下来的写作中可以使用这些表达法。
StepIII写作
l教师让学生整理从调查表中得到的信息,完成自己的阅读习惯报告。提醒学生在正式写作前要先打草稿。教师可在教室里巡视,帮助学生解决困难。教师说:Write about your reading habits。 You can use Millie’s report as a model.
2学生完成后,建议他们先自己检查拼写、语法和句子结构,并检查文章条理是否清晰,及时改正错误,然后让学生两人一组,互相交换检查,补充不完善的信息,提醒学生注意学习他人写作中的长处。教师说:When you’ve finished writing,work in pairs and check your partner’s report. Give advice to your partner if possible.
3教师展示部分佳作,点评精彩的句式和段落,让其他学生欣赏、学习。对于在巡视过程中发现的文法错误,教师也可以写在黑板上,让学生找出错误,并说出正确的表达方法。
Sample writing My reading habits I like reading very much. I usually spend six hours a week reading books. On weekdays, I read books in the morning or at noon. At the weekend, I read in the evening. I love science books and fantasy books. I like the Harry Potter series best. It is very interesting and the main character is amazing. I often borrow books from our school library because there are many kinds of books there and I can always find books easily. I like talking with my classmates about what to read. We often give each other useful information about books. That is really helpful. Books are my good friend. Whenever I feel sad, I will get an interesting book to read. It makes me forget my sadness. I love reading.
