STEP1. Revisin
1’ T review the part A n page 31 by asking the students t perfrm r recite the cnversatin.
Ss that we use the “wuld rather…than…” structure t talk abut preferences, i,e, that we like ne thing mre than anther. When we write r talk t ur friends, we use the cntracts frm “I’d rather…”
3.Use ‘I’d rather … than …’ t make sentences
Eg. I’d rather wear blue than pink.
I’d rather g shpping than stay at hme.
He’d rather have a red T-shirt than a black ne.
Jy wuld rather wear her hair in a pnytail than bunches.

Step2 Presentatin (Part C)
1. Remind students that the prnuns “smene smebdy, anyne anybdy, n ne nbdy” are used t refer t peple. We use them when we d nt knw wh the persn is. We can nt use them t refer t bjects.
2. G thrugh rules 1,2 and 3 n page 33 with students. Then ask Ss t read the rules alud, with each student reading ne sentence.
3.Check whether students understand the rules by writing the fllwing sentences n the bard.
Is there__________ in the bathrm? (anyne/anybdy)

4.Ask the students t cmplete Millie’s diary n page 34.Then check the answers, Ask Ss which wrds shuld g in the gaps. If Ss gt sme answers wrng, yu may need t g thrugh the rules again in mre detail.
5.Ask the students t explain the main wrds r phrases in this part.

1. Remind Ss that “smething, anything, nthing and nne”are used t refer t things. We use them when we d nt knw r d nt need t say. Say sme sentences with these wrds.
1).smene / smebdy: ne persn
sme peple: mre than ne persn
Smene is n the phne nw, yu have t wait fr minutes.
Sme peple are waiting in a line utside the shp.
2).anybdy / anyne in psitive sentences:
Was anybdy at hme at that time?
Anybdy wh breaks the law will be punished by the law.
2.Ask a student t read rules 1,2 and 3 n page 35 t the class. Tell them t fllw the rules. Ask them if they have sme questins.

由sme. any n 和every 可以与ne ,bdy ,thing构成复合不定代词,它们的用法与sme. any 的用法相同。如:
以上的复合代词都表示单数的概念,在句子中作主语、宾语或表语。作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。如:
