An bject clause functins as the bject f a sentence. We use that t intrduce an bject clause that is a statement.
An bject clause can be put after verbs such as say, find, knw, think, believe, hpe, ntice and mean.
e.g.
Sme peple believe that clurs can influence ur mds.
She hpes that yellw can bring her success.
An bject clause can als fllw adjectives such as certain, sure and glad.
e.g.
He is glad that the walls in his rm are blue.
She is sure that yellw can bring her gd luck.

Millie: Did yu knw there is a relatinship between
clurs and mds?
Sandy: Certainly. I think clurs influence ur everyday
lives in many ways.
Millie: Hw shuld we chse the clurs fr the rms
f a huse?
Sandy: Mst peple think light clurs are better than
dark nes.
Millie: Yes. I ntice light clurs make rms seem larger.
Sandy: Sure. I als knw blue can make us feel relaxed
Millie: Yes. My mum says blue is suitable fr bedrms.

cmfrtable.
Step4 Extensin.
When the main clause uses the simple present tense r future tense, the bject clause still uses the riginal tense.
e.g. I dn’t think (that) yu are right.
2. When the main clause uses the simple past tense, the tense in the bject clause shuld be changed int the crrespnding past tense.
e.g. He tld me (that) he wuld g back hme sn.
3. When the bject clause is used t express the bjective facts, truths, prverbs r natural phenmena, we still use the riginal tense.
e.g. My grandpa tld me (that) the earth is rund.
