Step 1: Warm-up Ask the students the following questions ① Have you seen robots in the films? ② What kind of robots do you know? ③ Do you like robots? Why? ④ What do you think robots can do for you? ⑤ Would you buy a robot in the future? Why? ① Yes .I have ② The robots for the wars ③Y es.It can do the homework for me ④Do all the housework for us ⑤Yes.It can make our life easier.To raise students interest, get students thinking and talking about robots Step 2: welcome to the unit 1, Ask one student to read the phrases in the word box at the top of page 23. 1,Read the phrases in the word box at the top of page 23 1做晚饭cook dinner 2烫衬衫iron shirts 3整理床铺make the bed 4洗盘子wash the dishes 5洗衣服do the laundry 6探测危险地区explore dangerous places 7擦地板sweep the floor To activate student’s knowledge of robots and generate interests of this topic 2.Explain the context. The students complain the teacher a bout too much homework. Let the Ss learn the grammar of the words: complain, need and help.
complain: 动词:complain to sb about sth。 2,need :(1)情态动词,往往用于否定形式,eg,You needn't hand in the homework after class.(2)行为动词,后面跟不定式, eg ,The children need to work hard at school.我需要向机器人商店投诉。(1)I need to complain to the robot shop.(2)Must I finsih the homework?
