一．课前导学：

1.呈现关键词，让学生回顾两封信的内容。

2. 课堂展示：给学生时间准备，然后分别让一个女生和一个男生扮演Millie和Simon,用这些关键词谈一谈他们的苦恼，其他学生认真听。

  1. choice n. the right to decide which thing you want (选择）

    have no choice but to do

    We had no choice but to wait for the next train.

  2.hardly adv. （几乎不）表否定

     hard adv. 努力地  work hard  adj.  困难的，坚硬的

    eg: There is hardly any milk left in the fridge.

  3.strict  adj. demanding that rules, especially rules about behaviour, should be obeyed(严格的，严厉的）

    be strict with sb in sth

    They are always very strict with their children in their study.

  4.suggestion n. an idea or a plan that you mention for sb else to think about (建议，可数n)

  advice n. 建议 不可数n

•         Mr Jiang offered me some suggestions on my report.

•         Suggest v. 建议

(1)Suggest doing  sth (2) suggest +that 从句（should +do ) 或should 可省略

eg : I suggested that he (should ) stop smoking.

5. Valuable adj. very useful or important (宝贵的，贵重的）

value n. 价值

be valuable to sb=be of some value to sb

This book is valuable to me.=This book is of some value to me.

6 .deal with 的意思是“处理”，常与疑问句how 连用。如：

 Do you know how to deal with stress?

  do with 也可表示“对付、处理”的意思，常与疑问句what 连用，如:

 The new teacher doesn’t know what to do with the class.那位新老师不知道如何对待他班上的学生。

 I don’t know how to deal with it.= I don’t know what to do with it?
