Do you like sports?

What sport do you usually play? / What sport do you like?

Are you good at playing ------?

The students in Class One, Grade Seven like to play different kinds

of sports. Can you tell me what they are? (show the pictures of sports to the students)

Mr. Wu is asking his students about their favourite sports. Let’s listen to

their conversation and help Mr. Wu write the correct letters in the boxes.

Complete the notes according to the information on P25.

Check the answers and remind the students to pay attention to some important points.

1) Sandy and Millie are talking about what they often do after school.

Let’s listen to their conversation and answer some questions.

Q1: What does Sandy often do after school?

She often plays basketball.

Q2: What else does Sandy like to do?

   She likes to listen to music.

Q3: What does Millie often do after school?

   She often plays volleyball and does some reading.

Q4: What does Millie think of reading?

   She thinks reading is fun.

(2) I read a lot of interesting books.

a lot of = lots of  修饰可数或不可数名词,只用于肯定句中。

e.g. He has a lot of meat and vegetables for lunch.

(3) Reading is fun.

 fun  n. （不可数）享乐；乐趣；有趣的事

 have fun doing sth. = have a good time doing sth. 做某事玩得开心

They have great fun visiting the zoo.

It’s great fun to do sth. = Doing sth. is great fun.

It's great fun to draw pictures.

= Drawing pictures is great fun.

4) What do you often do after school? Work in pairs and talk about your

after-school activities.

Step Six: Homework.

Ss answer the questions with the picture.

Ss give the right answers. Revise different sports.

Ss listen to the recorder and complete.

Make a new dialogue using their own information.
