Step 1 . Lead-in
Teacher talks t student abut their diet and lifestyle freely and ask sme questins.

Thrugh asking these questins, teach sme new wrds. Fr example: Healthy means fit. New wrd: fit .
Ask students t cmplete Part B1 abut new wrds. Match new wrds with their explanatins.
Teacher summarizes the result f the discussin and lead in the text.
Step 2 . Presentatin
Listen t Kitty’s article and answer the questins:

Students read Kitty’s article silently and cmplete Kitty’s table n Part B2.
Deal with Daniel’s article. Listen t Daniel’s article and answer:
What des he like t d,t eat and t drink?
Students read Daniel’s article and cmplete Daniel’s table n Part B2.
Students read tw articles ludly and judge sme sentences. Ask students t answer and check tgether.
Step 3 . Practice
Shw pictures f Kitty’s and Daniel’s recipes. Let students describe their recipes. Each student nly describes ne r tw pints.
Discuss in grups: Hw d we eat and live healthier? After discussin, each grup says smething abut the questin in frnt f the class.
Step 4 . Reading
Ask students t read the test t finish ff Part B3.
Ask students t tell whether the statements are true r false, then crrect the false ne.
Ask students t read the text again and then finish Part B4.
Let students t read the dialgue by pairs t check the answers, then teacher checks the answers by asking and answering.
Step 5 . Practice
Shw a table abut Kitty and Daniel’s diet and lifestyle.
Ask students t fill in the table with the infrmatin abut Kitty and Daniel.
Accrding t the table, try t retell the text abut Kitty and Daniel. (Give students 2 minutes t prepare.)
Accrding t the same table .Let students talk abut their wn lifestyles by grups. Fr example, what d they eat and hw d they live?
Fill in the table with their wn infrmatin and then make an ral reprt fr the class. (Give students 3 minutes t prepare.)
Step 6 . Language pints
Shw sme pictures and imprtant phrases and sentences. Use these pictures t help students understand the imprtant phrases r let students say smething abut the pictures with these phrases.
Ask students t read the phrases by themselves and try t remember them fr 2 minutes.

Ding sme cnslidatin exercise by translatin and cmpleting dialgues.
Step 8 . Hmewrk
Remember the useful phrases and language pints.
Write a passage accrding t their wn diet and lifestyle.
