A
Mst travel guides stp at telling yu where and hw t visit," said Chu Dandan, chief editr f The Wrld f Chinese, at the bk's launch event. "Our bk tells yu why yu shuld visit."
Inevitably, mdem elements permeate the beauty f ancient elegance. The village has been quietly half-ccupied by a grwing mdem surfing cmmunity可知,小渔村的古雅之美也充满了现代元素,一半已经悄无声息地被一个日益壮大的现代化冲浪团体占据。
根据本文最后一段Fr mre infrmatin abut the bk, please leave messages belw.
At the library, six t ten dgs lie n the flr, and the kids pick a bk t read t a dg"及其他内容可推断出,Angel是一只治疗犬。故选C。
Angel als helps ut at a special-needs camp"可知,Angel也经常在营地帮助有特殊需要的儿童。
根据第三段中的"a wman wh was cmpletely unable t mve the right side f her bdy frm a strke (中风)"可知,这位女士因为中风右半边身体完全瘫痪了,再结合后面的"Then wman raised her right hand and started petting Angel"可知,这位女士的右手居然能动了,这让她的朋友难以置信。
But that indeed reduces negative effects f feeling stressed fr time"可知,Whillans 从她最近的经历中懂得了花钱节省时间是值得的。
画线词后面提到"但它也指出了时间荒和购买时间是如何影响我们所有人的",根据转折关系可知,the affluent应指少数一类人,再结合下文中的"what they're picturing is a husekeeper, maids, and a gardener, but what we're talking abut is that just spending $ 40 makes a difference"可推知,当提到花钱来节省时间时,人们可能会认为这是适合富人的解决办法,affluent表示"富裕的"。
Actually, the thing that surprised me mst frm ur findings is hw few peple actually spend their mney in a way that we wuld classify as being time-saving" "She adds they planned t cnduct fllw-up studies n the phenmenn"可知,研究人员下一步将关注人们不愿意购买时间的原因。
While mst f these chemicals are released within a day f being put ut, an analysis fr the United States Fd and Drug Administratin (FDA) fund the level f nictine fell by just 50% five days later"可知,烟熄灭后,尼古丁的浓度在五天以后仅下降一半,也就是说熄灭的烟蒂好几天都会释放尼古丁。 故选C。
While much attentin has been paid t the health influence f first-hand, secnd-hand and nw third-hand smking, it is nt the case when it cmes t the actual cigarette end f the matter"可知,尽管人们很关注一手烟、二手烟对健康的影响,现在也关注了三手烟对健康的影响,但当谈到烟蒂对健康的影响时,情况就并非如此了。
When the air temperature f the rm was higher, fr instance, they nticed the ends prduced these chemicals at higher rates"可知,温度高时,烟蒂释放有害的化学物质的速度更快,再根据"This finding might discurage thse wh want t leave ashtrays(烟灰缸)ut fr days at a time, especially in the heat"可知,这个发现可能会打消那些人好几天尤其是在高温情况下都放着烟灰缸不管的念头。
故选A。

句中的and连接三个并列结构,根据my life transfrmatin 和 my interest 可知此处应用名词。
