shut t表示距离某人较远，为了让对方听清楚而大声说话。
shut at sb. 一般表示因生气而对某人大喊大叫，带有感情色彩。

1．一般过去时的特殊疑问句：
(1) 特殊疑问词
对人提问用wh/whm；对物提问用what；对地点提问用where；对时间提问用when/what time；对原因提问用why；对情况、感受等提问用hw。
(2)结构
① be动词：特殊疑问词＋was/were＋主语＋其他？如：
Where were yu last week?
上周你在哪儿？
Hw was yur last summer vacatin?
你去年暑假过得怎么样？
② 实义动词：特殊疑问词＋助动词did＋主语＋动词原形＋其他？如：
What did Mike d yesterday afternn?
昨天下午迈克做了什么？

托尼什么时候开始弹吉他的？
2．巧记不规则动词的过去式：
3. 一般过去时的判断：
(1) 当句中有表示过去的时间状语时，用一般过去时。这样的时间状语有：
① yesterday。如：yesterday mrning, at five 'clck yesterday。
② last。如：last week, last year, last Sunday afternn。
③ ag。用“一段时间＋ag”表示“……(多久)以前”。如：ten years ag。
④表示过去时间的短语。如：in the 1990s, n May 1st, 1892, in the ld days等。
(2) 根据句意明确知晓某一动作发生在过去，用一般过去时。如：
Edisn invented many useful things.
爱迪生发明了许多有用的东西。
