Step 1 Warm-up
1.Greetings:
T: Welcome back to school. Nice to see you again.
S:Nice to see you, too.
Step 2 Presentation
1.教师将taxi, train, plane, ship, subway等挂图一一放在黑板前,并问全班同学:
T:What’s this?并引导学生回答。
S:It’s a taxi.
2.反复带读单词taxi,并假设场景,学生通过搭出租车去上学。
T:How do you go to school?
S:By taxi.
3.Use the same way to learn other words:
by bus, by plane, by ship, on foot.
4.师生之间进行Free talk来练习 by bus, by plane, by ship, on foot, by taxi, by subway…
T: Let’s go to the library.
S: Great!/OK!
T:How do we get there?
S:By bus.
T:How do you get to the post office?
S:By train.
T:How do you get to school?
S:By taxi.
T:How do you get to the science museum?

5.将全班同学进行分组,练习短语:by bus.by plane, by ship, by subway, on foot, by taxi.
6.学习课本中 Let’s learn 部分。
(1)听录音,仿读对话。
(2)教师带读对话。
(3)同学之间分组练习对话,并请同学们表演对话。
Step 3 Consolidation and presentation
1.完成 Write and say。
(1)教师指着中间的图片,让学生说出相应的交通方式:
By subway /bus/train/taxi/ship/plane/On foot.(2)教师对学生进行提问:
T:How do you get to the USA from China?
S:By plane.
T:How do you get to your school from your home?
S:By bus.
(3)指导学生掌握句型:
How do you get to A from B?(你怎样从B地到达A地?)
——By plane/taxi/subway…
(4)让学生们两个一组,运用该句型自由进行编对话。
2.强调by短语和on foot。by+交通工具,表示乘坐…on foot 是固定搭配。
3.适当拓展 by plane/air,by ship/sea 的相同含义。
4.巩固练习。在横线上填上合适的单词使句子完整。

Step 2 Presentation
1.Learn the new words:
usually, often, sometimes, walk, exercise
(1)教师先带领学生读单词:usually, often, sometimes.并告诉学生单词的意思。学生掌握单词后教师在具体的语境中教学生学习单词的用法。
T:How do you go to school?
S:I go to school on foot.
T:Usually,I go to school on foot.
=I usually go to school on foot.
S1:Sometimes,I go to school by bus.
=I sometimes go to school by bus.
S2:Often I go to school by subway.
=I often go to school by subway.
(2)向学生讲解:walk=go on foot
I walk to school.=I go to school on foot.
(3)学习单词exercise,并了解句子That’s good exercise.的意思,反复带读exercise并让学生掌握单词。
2.学习Let’s talk。
(1)Listen to the tape and find how the people come to school.
(2)Speak out the right answers.
(3)带领学生朗读对话,让学生分角色练习对话,让学生跟录音带仿读对话。
(4)学生两人一组训练,并表演Let’s talk.

1.知识点总结。讲解usually, often, sometimes的位置,既可以放在句首,也可以放在句中。eg: Sometimes I come by bus.=I sometimes come by bus.

1.教师出示交通灯的图片,教学新单词。
(1)T:What are these?
S:Traffic lights.
T:What colors are they?
S:They are red, green, yellow.
教师在此过程中教学单词,traffic lights, red light, green light, yellow light.通过教师带读,学生跟读的方式掌握新词。
(2)教师出示单词卡来教学单词slow, slow down, stop.通过带读跟读的方式让学生掌握新词
(3)出示不同的交通灯图片,让学生说出遇到这种交通灯时该遵守什么规则。

(3)展示阅读中的图片,带领学生一起理解课文,了解不同地方不同的上学方式。
T:Students in different countries have different ways to go to school.
T: Look at the students in Munich, Germany. How do they go to school?
S:They go to school on foot.
T: Look at this picture. In Alaska USA,it snows a lot. How do the kids there go to school?
S: They go to school by sled. It’s fast.
T: Look at this picture. There are many children on a big boat. How do these students go to school?
S: They go to school by ferry every day.
T: Look at this picture, how do the children in Papa Westray, Scotland go to school.
S: They go to school by ferry, too.But in 2009, they went to school by plane.
T: Why?
S: Because the ferry didn’t work.
T: Look at Robin. How does he go to school?
S:He doesn’t go to school. He learns at home.(4)听录音,跟着磁带一起朗读课文。
(5)全班同学齐声朗读课文,教师纠正发音。
(6)让同学们根据图片,回顾课文内容,说出不同地方的人的不同上学方式。
