An experience that made me very happy was winning the natin-wide English cmpetitin last year. At first, I didn’t knw what t write fr my speech, but after talking t my teacher and reading sme bks, I had sme ideas and started writing. Then I practiced my speech many times. On the day f the cmpetitin, I saw many peple there. This made me feel very nervus. I started t wrry that I wuld frget my speech. Then I remembered what my teacher tld me -- clse my eyes and take deep breaths. I did that and it made me feel much better. When my turn came, I gave my speech with cnfidence. I waited anxiusly fr the results, and when I heard that I was the first prize winner, I jumped up and dwn with jy.This experience taught me that being well-prepared is very imprtant. It helps t read a lt, and als t ask peple arund yu fr advice. Mst imprtantly, have cnfidence in yurself.
