My sn was entering Grade 1.He was a bit anxius because he knew his best friend wuld nt be in his new class. I explained t him that even thugh his best friend wuld nt be in his class, he wuld still have sme f his ld classmates.
On the first day f schl when the class list was psted, I was shcked! My sn, had zer frmer classmates in his class. Nne. Nt ne.
    Hw culd this happen?
I asked my friend wh wrks fr the Hamiltn-Wentwrth District Schl Bard. She explained, “Many largely ppulated schls ften shuffle(改组) the kids arund each year t encurage new friendships.”
If schls are actively trying t place tw best friends in different classes simply t shake things up, I think it is a blunder.
I was lucky enugh t attend the same primary schl all the way thrugh. It was a small class and ur grup f students mved thrugh each grade tgether. We felt like brthers and sisters. It was wnderful.
While it may be gd t shake things up a bit in the lder grades, it seems almst cruel (残忍的) t separate gd friends in the yunger grades withut gd cause.
One mm named Karen says that her sn is always starting a new grade withut any clse friends. At first, she thught it was a gd idea. Then she realized ne thing—her sn des nt have a “best friend”, which makes her pretty wrried. In fact, she thinks that he des nt have any clse friends because his classmates are always changing.
Part f a schl's respnsibility is t prvide safe and cmfrtable space fr children t learn and grw. If that envirnment is always changing—causing terrible results—perhaps it is time t rethink this practice.

    C.By using ther peple's wrds.
    D.By shwing research findings.

    A.Prgress.
    B.Reasn.
    C.Mistake.
    D.Failure.

A.T prve that smaller classes are better.
B.T discuss the imprtance f gd friends.
C.T explain hw friendships are develped at schl.
D.T shw the advantage f having familiar classmates.
8.What's Karen's attitude tward the practice f her sn's schl?

    Ⅱ;with 2.Taking ntes 3.came true 4.at the same time 5.lk frward t
be junir t sb.
they had been lking frward t 为省略了关系代词that或which的定语从句,设空处为主句的谓语。
in exchange fr...

Remember that everybdy 're just as nervus as yu are.
Mving up t senir high schl is an pprtunity, nt a prblem.
Remember that things will becme much better if yu just act naturally.
机会 3.be wrried abut... 5.have experience in ding sth.在做某事上有经验 6.make a difference有影响;起作用 7.make full use f...
做准备 3.at least至少 4.leave fr...
    6.take part in...参加…… 7.sign up fr...
    8.cmpetitin n.
