There are dozens of movie recommendation engines on the Web. They're all different, but some are definitely better than others.
Rotten Tomatoes
Instead of telling Rotten Tomatoes which films you like, you can tell it what kind of films you enjoy, which actors you want to see, and other standards to help it find the best movie for you. There's a lot of variability in the quality of Rotten Tomatoes recommendations but it's also a nice way to find the right film for any mood.
Netflix
Netflix asks you to rate(评价) movies to determine which films you'll want to see next. And although it does make it easy to rate movies and it does return huge lists, the ideas it gives you aren't all that strong. It's easy to use, but it's not the best way to get movie recommendations.
Jinni
Whether you want to search for films based on your mood, time available, or reviews, the site has it all. But Jinni's most amazing feature is its semantic (语义的) search. You can enter a term like “films that show Chris Farley yelling” and the site will return films that match your question. Go to use Jinni. You won't regret it!
Criticker
Instead of just allowing you to rank films, Criticker compares your ratings with those of other users to see how closely your tastes match those of other users. Once the service finds matches, you can view these users' lists and see which movies they like.
1.Which one does the author recommend most?
A.Rotten Tomatoes. B.Netflix.
C.Jinni. D.Criticker.
2.What makes Criticker special?

Surfing the Internet for fun will make you a better employee, according to an Australian study.
The study shows that people who use the Internet for their own reasons at work are about 9 percent more productive than those who do not. The author of the study Brent Coker said, “Surfing the Internet at times helps increase an employee's attention.”
“People need to relax for a bit to get back their attention,” Coker said. “Having a short break, such as quick surfing on the Internet, helps the mind to rest itself, leading to higher total Internet attention for a day's work, and as a result, increases productivity (生产效率),” he said.
According to the study, 70 percent of 300 workers who use the Internet at work surf the Internet for their own reasons during office hours. Among the most popular surfing activities are searching for information about products, reading online news, playing online games and watching videos. “Firms spend a lot of money on software to block their employees from watching videos, using social networking sites or shopping online,” said Coker. “That's not always a good idea.”
However, Coker said the study looked at people who surfed the Internet in moderation (适度), or were on the Internet for less than 20 percent of their total time in the office. “Those who spend too much time surfing the Internet will have lower productivity than those who do not,” he said.
4.What does the study mainly show?
A.People who surf the Internet are good employees.
B.Not everyone surfs the Internet for fun during office hours.
C.Surfing the Internet for fun during office hours increases productivity.
D.The Internet is becoming more and more important in people's life.
5.According to Paragraph 3, Brent Coker would most probably agree that .
A.the longer a person's mind rests, the better attention he will have
B.surfing the Internet is the best way to increase productivity
C.workers should have a long break during office hours
D.workers should let their minds rest now and then
6.Which of the following is NOT mentioned in the passage as one of the most popular surfing activities?
A.Watching videos.
B.Reading online news.
C.Reading online novels.
D.Playing online games.
7.What can we infer from the last paragraph?
A.Spending too much time surfing the Internet reduces productivity.
B.Those who never surf the Internet have the lowest productivity.
C.Most people don't surf the Internet in moderation during office hours.
D.People should spend as little time as possible surfing the Internet.
C
Earlier last month, when a young woman and a male friend were meeting up at a coffee shop in Tianjin, another man tried to chat her up and asked her for her WeChat ID.
The woman politely turned down the man's request but a few days later she got to know that a video of her at the coffee shop had been posted on a short video sharing platform. The woman was furious (狂怒的) as the man who had tried to chat her up had not told her he was making a video nor asked her permission before uploading the video. She left a comment under the video, asking for its removal, and even reported the matter to the platform's handlers. The account that posted the video was soon disabled.
However, this case is far from alone. Websites dealing in short videos are filled with accounts that post such videos showing “how to chat up women”. Their purpose is to post such videos for money.
Taking a video of someone without their permission and uploading it violates(侵害)someone's right to privacy, but such videos are being made and uploaded online with increasing frequency. It was only because the woman in this instance complained that the video of her was removed. What if her attention had not been drawn to the video? One just has to browse these sites to find many such videos.
Obviously, there are loopholes in the supervision(监管漏洞)of some short video platforms, as they are uploading contents that violate other people's right to privacy.
Women need to watch out if a stranger tries to chat them up. If they suspect the person interacting with them might have a hidden camera somewhere, they should consider calling the police to better protect their right to privacy.
8.What is the writer's intention of writing the first two paragraphs?
A.Warning women of the possible harm.
B.Introducing the topic of violating privacy.
C.Stressing the seriousness of the phenomenon.
D.Commenting on the man's unacceptable behavior.
9.What is the man's most probable reason to upload the video?
A.To impress viewers.
B.To earn money.
C.To contact the woman.
D.To share the platform.
10.What is the main idea of Paragraph 4?
A.There are more and more privacy-violating videos online.
B.It is wrong to take videos of people without their permission.
C.It is of importance that we protect our right by complaining.
D.A number of people go to websites with improper contents.
11.What is the author's attitude to the management of some short video platforms?
A.Positive. B.Satisfied.
C.Negative. D.Doubtful.
D
I never saw my father come home from work late, nor did I ever see my father take a “night out with the boys”. He had no hobbies but just took care of his family.
For 22 years, since I left home for college, my father had called me every Sunday at 9:00 am. He was always interested in my life—how my family was doing. The calls even came when he and my mother were in Australia, England or Florida.
Nine years ago, when I bought my first house, my father, 67 years old, spent eight hours a day for three days, painting my house. He would not allow me to pay someone to have it done. All he asked was a glass of iced tea, and that I hold a paintbrush for him and talk to him. But I was too busy, for I had a law practice to run, and I could not take the time to hold the paintbrush, or talk to my father.
Five years ago, my 71-year-old father spent five hours putting together a swing set (成套秋千) for my daughter. Again, all he asked was that I get him a glass of iced tea, and talk to him. But again, I had laundry to do, and the house to clean.
The morning on Sunday, January 16, 1995, my father telephoned me as usual—this time he seemed to have forgotten some things we had discussed the week before. I had to get to church, and I cut the conversation short.
The call came at 4:40 am. That day my father was sent to a hospital in Florida. I got on a plane immediately, and vowed (发誓) that when I arrived, I would make up for the lost time, and have a nice long talk with him and really get to know him.
I arrived in Florida at 1:00 am, but my father had passed away at 9:12 pm. This time it was he who did not have time to talk, or time to wait for me.
In the years since his death I have learnt much about my father, and even more about every single day.

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
Door-to-door food delivery (快递) service has become increasingly popular in cities due to the fast development of online shopping and the busy life in China.
As food delivery is extremely common in China, it creates large amounts of waste due to the plastic containers, bags, and chopsticks that come with each order. This in turn has contributed to great environmental concerns for the waste packaging materials. We have therefore measured the amount of food delivery packaging waste in China. The results show that the total amount of packaging waste rose from 0.2 million metric tons in 2015 to 1.5 million metric tons in 2020. Over-packaging is also a concern. The food delivery packaging is not the fancier, the better. Instead, it is the more environment-friendly, the better.
Therefore, it is high time that regulations were adopted to stop restaurants and companies from spending too much on unnecessary packaging and wrapping. Also, smart policy suggestions should be provided to handle the pressing issues, particularly using the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle environment-friendly practices.
As the largest city in China, Shanghai has an important role in creating and seeking an efficient solution to the problem of waste. With over 24 million people living in Shanghai, material sustainability (可持续性), particularly that of plastics, is a big problem. For example, delivery companies like Saucepan have begun to reduce the plastic usage of the food delivery in Shanghai by using biodegradable(可生物降解的) packaging in the delivery process. Besides, it encourages customers to recycle their plastic bags and rewards them for every 10 used bags that they return to the company.

第三部分 写作
第一节
One possible version:
Nowadays, there are various English learning apps on the Internet. Recently, I've made a survey in my class of whether students should make use of these apps in their study, over which controversy among my classmates has arisen.
70% of the students are in favor of using these learning apps. Firstly, the apps can help improve their listening as well as expand vocabulary. Moreover, they can refer to these apps whenever and wherever possible, thus broadening their horizons.
In contrast, students, accounting for 30% of the total number, hold the opposite view. They feel students tend to rely on these apps, making them unable to think independently. Worse still, some apps may even contain wrong and harmful information.
From where I stand, I contend that we students should make good use of these learning apps.

阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。

C.Negative. D.Doubtful.
