    2.关联词:(1)引出定语从句,并作从句的一个成分,可作主语、宾语、定语或状语,作宾语时可省略。(2)关联词包括关系代词和关系副词。关联词位于先行词和定语从句之间。关系代词:that, which, wh, whm, whse,代指先行词。关系副词:when, where, why等,常作状语。

    说明:关系代词作定语从句里介词的宾语时,此介词可放置于句中原来位置,这时关系代词可用wh, that, whm/which, that, 大多数情况下也可前移至关系代词前面,这时候只能用whm/which, 即介词+which/whm;但并不是所有的介词都可移至前面,如果是一些不可拆开的动词短语,如lk fr, lk after等,介词只能放在动词的后面。
    五、关系代词which与that定语从句分为限制性定语从句及非限制性定语从句。非限制性定语从句是对前面所修饰的先行词或内容起补充说明作用,先行词后有逗号隔开,在非限制性定语从句里,不用that作关系代词,所以如果在定语从句里充当主语或宾语, 且先行词为物的话,只用which。
    六、that指物时,一般都可以和which互换使用。但在下列情况下,不能互换,只用that:1.当先行词是不定代词,如all, anything, everything, nthing, smething, the ne, little, few, much或先行词被all, every, any, n, few, little, the very, just the, the nly等修饰时;I have never taken anything that is hers.I have tld him all that I knw.He gave her everything that he had.
    She has smething that yu can brrw.There is nt much that can be dne.I have read all the bks that yu lent me.Yu can take any bk that yu like.Every dictinary that ur library bught is gd.This is the very bk that I want t find.The flwer is the nly ne that I like.

    说明:当先行词为人时,在下列句型中关系代词只用wh而不用that( 当先行词是anyne, thse, ne, nes,he并且指人时):Thse wh want t g please put up yur hands.Anyne wh wants t g please stand up.He wh desn’t reach the Great Wall is nt a true man.
