    (1) 有些动词只能接不定式做宾语
    verb+t d与verb+ding的区别
    如:help, hpe, ask, refuse, decide, wish, prmise, pretend, expect, arrange, learn, plan, demand, dare, manage, agree, fail, prepare, determine, ffer, chse, desire, elect, lng, (happen, seem) 等等。
    e.g. He refused t speak n the radi. He desired t see yu. He wanted t knw the truth. He pretended t have read the bk when I asked him abut it.
    动词: mind, finish, enjy, suggest, permit, appreciate, cnsider, miss, dislike, keep (n), avid, permit, imagine, risk, escape, admit, stand(忍受), allw, frbid, excuse
    (2) 有些动词只接动词-ing形式做宾语
    短语动词: give up, put ff, insist n, be/get used tcan’t help, feel like, bject t, set abut, prevent…frm, lk frward t,等短语: be wrth ding, be n gd ding, be n use ding, be busy ding
    1) The mther did agree t let the by risk swimming acrss the river.2) His wife desn’t allw smking inside the rm and ften advised him t give up smking.3) All the family insisted n my staying with them a few days lnger.
    4) I’m lking frward t hearing frm yu sn.5) She desn’t feel like eating anything, being ill fr a few days.
    (3) 有些动词后面既可接不定式, 又可接动词-ing形式, 其意义基本相同, 区别不大。 like, lve, hate, delay, cntinue, attempt (企图), affrd (提供), prefer. mit(省略), begin, start
    e.g. The Einsteins, hwever, culd nt affrd t pay fr/ paying fr the advanced educatin that yung Albert needed. I prefer staying /t stay at hme n Sunday.
    注意: begin和start本身为进行时,或后面动词为心理变化意义的动词时,须接不定式。e.g. When we came in, they were beginning t have supper. After his explanatin, I began t understand it/realize that I was wrng.
    (4) 有些词后面既可以接不定式。亦可接动词-ing形式,但其意义有很大区别,须特别注意: remember/frget/regret ding 表示完成意义 (=having dne) remember/frget/regret t d 表示将来意义 mean t d (=want t d) 打算,要…… mean ding 意味着, 就是
    e.g. Please remember t bring me the bk I want next time. I remember seeing her (=having seen her) smewhere befre. Dn’t frget t write t me sn. I never frget visiting them fr the first time.
    I regret missing that gd film last week.I regret nt taking yur advice.I am srry, I didn’t mean t hurt yur feelings.I meant t call n yu, but I was s busy.Learning a freign language desn’t mean just wrking in class.
    stp t d 停下来,要干另一件事, 不定式作目的状语stp ding 停止做……, 动名词作宾语try t d 努力,试图做…… try ding 试着做…… want, need, require ding 表示被动意义, 需要, 该……want, need, require t d 想,要做………

    g n t d 继续做和原来不同的另一件 事,不定式作目的状语。g n ding 继续做原来同一件事,动词- ing形式作宾语。e.g. After a smke, he went n telling us that interesting stry. After writing his English cmpsitin he went n t wrk ut his maths prblems.
    advise, allw, permit, frbid后面接单宾语时用动词-ing形式,接复合宾语时用动词不定式。Dctrs advise giving up smking t benefit ne’s health.The dctr advised him t give up smking s as t imprve his health.
    She desn’t allw (permit) smking in her rm.=She desn’t allw (permit) anyne t smke in her rm.
