    Three years ag, Becky was reading a newspaper article which mentined that it was impssible fr peple t remember the details f their life in the first three years. “What nnsense (胡说八道)! ” she thught, because she culd clearly remember her life all the way back t when she was just 12 days ld. Her parents had carried her t the driver’s seat f their car and laid her dwn fr a pht. But it wasn’t nnsense. She was just ne f nly 80 knwn peple wh have a cnditin called HSAM(Highly Superir Autbigraphical Memry).
    Becky’s unusual cnditin was recently shwn n a prgram called 60 minutes, where reprter Allisn tested her ability by asking her questins abut her favrite bk series, Harry Ptter. Allisn wuld pick up a bk and pen a page and read her a line. Immediately Becky wuld name the bk, chapter number, chapter name and culd recite every wrd until Allisn tld her t stp.
    Being able t remember every little detail is a great ability, but as every persn with HSAM will tell yu, it can be very hard t deal with. Frgetting is ne f the things we use t get ver sad experiences in ur lives, but it’s smething that peple like Becky are unable t d. Even walking n the street and lightly bumping(撞) int smebdy brings back memries frm Becky’s childhd, when a by kncked her ver. She’s taken right back t that time, living the experience all ver again. Als, like Becky, peple with HSAM never d well in schl, because they have prblems filtering(过滤) thrugh all the infrmatin, remembering nly the imprtant bits.
    Becky’s special brain culd help scientists find a way t treat peple with terrible illnesses like Alzheimer’s. Her cnditin culd hld the secret t treating r even preventing Alzheimer’s.
