    Mney might nt grw n trees, but it seems that furniture des! Gavin Munr, a UK-based designer, has cme up with a brilliant alternative by cutting beautiful trees and cnverting them int furniture.
    He first came up with the idea f grwing furniture when he was wrking as a gardener in Califrnia and als made furniture with washed-up driftwd n the side.
    After several attempts, he finally managed t develp a mdel chair using fur trees. Munr is nw tending t a small 2.5-acre "furniture frest" with 400 trees in a field nrth f Derby, England. He uses specially designed plastic frames t make yung ak and ash trees grw in the shape f chairs, tables, frames, r lamps.
    A frest that grws furniture sunds like a setting right ut f Alice in Wnderland, but there's nthing magical abut it—just a lt f hard wrk. The frest cnsists f rw upn rw f trees cvered in blue plastic mlds, cnverting them int furniture as they grw. Once they take the desired shape, they are cared fr until thick, mature and ready fr harvest.
