Water has been added regularly and the hard seed cat sftens in the damp sil t allw the first rt t pierce dwnwards and the first leaves t push t the sil surface.
6 July The rt cntinues t grw dwnwards. The single stem grws hllw and smth, revealing large spade-shaped leaves frm the grwing tip. Gradually, the plant’s grwing tip reveals the first hints f develpment f the flwer bud. The plant stem becmes mre wdy.
26 July Abut three weeks after the flwer bud first becmes visible at the tip f the sunflwer stem. It enlarges and begins t reveal a flattened disc. Over the curse f ne week, the yellw ray flrets, and disc flrets blm acrss the cre f the sunflwer blssm. It is yellw, lking beautiful.
