Pre-reading

1. Teacher tells the students the learning objective of this class.

2. Teacher asks the students to predict what is mainly about the passage by reading the topic and the first sentence.

Reading

1. Students read and get the details of the passage and writer’s feeling （challenges he met）

2. Students read the passage and think of the following questions and share the answers.

（1） Why did the author go to the “dark restaurant”?

（2） What difficulties did the author have during the meal?

（3） How did the author feel after finishing the meal?

3. Students read the passage “Dining in the dark” and get the characteristic and the structure of it.

4. Students read the passage “Dining in the dark” and find out the useful expressions and sentences in writing about an experience.

Pre-writing

1. Teacher asks the students to play a game called “the blind traveller”.

2. Students experience what it is like being a blind person and make notes.

1.Students read the evaluation criteria， make sure to write about an experience.
