    【点拨】affrd用作动词,意为“承担得起(后果);买得起”,通常与can,culd或be able t连用,尤用于否定句或疑问句中。后接名词、代词或不定式作宾语,常用结构:affrd t d sth.负担得起做某事。如:
    Can we affrd a new car?我们买得起一辆新车吗?The cmputer is t expensive.I can't affrd it.这台电脑太贵,我买不起。She culdn't affrd t g abrad this summer.今年夏天她没有足够的钱去国外。
    【拓展】affrd还可意为“提供;给予”,其后跟双宾语(affrd sb.sth.)。如:My parents affrd me nearly all the things.我的父母几乎给予了我一切。

    如:Listening t light music makes me fall asleep quickly.听轻音乐使我很快入睡。Talking withut ding is n use.=It is n use talking withut ding.光说不做是没有用的。

    1.动名词由动词的-ing形式构成,其否定形式为nt+ding。2.动名词的用法
    常见的只跟动名词作宾语的动词(短语)
    喜欢不断提建议(enjy,keep,suggest),盼望习惯却完毕(lk frward t,be used t,finish),想要花费去练习(feel like,spend,practice),忍俊不禁还介意(can't help,mind),避免放弃不拖延(avid,give up,put ff),忙于考虑很值得(be busy,cnsider,be wrth),以上后跟动名词,一定要注意(pay attentin t)。
    有些动词(短语)后既可接不定式也可接动名词,但意义有很大不同。如: stp t d sth.停下来去做某事 stp ding sth.停止做某事remember t d sth.记住要做某事(动作未发生)remember ding sth.记得做过某事(动作已发生)
    frget t d sth.忘记做某事(动作未发生)frget ding sth.忘记做过某事(动作已发生)try t d sth.努力去做某事try ding sth.试着去做某事g n t d sth.做完一件事,接着去做另外一件事g n ding sth.继续不停地做某事
    mean t d sth.打算、想做某事mean ding sth.意味着做某事need t d sth.需要去做某事(主动意义)need ding sth.需要……(被动意义)

    1.分词的形式分词有现在分词(-ing形式)和过去分词(通常是-ed形式)两种。既可构成时态、被动语态,又常作状语、宾语补足语等句子成分。
