Teacher invites students to enjoy a short video about British gardens and asks them to share their feelings about it.2. Teacher offers students more information about British gardens.5 Activity 2       1. Teacher asks students to have discussions and complete the quiz on Page 68. 2. Teacher invites some students to share their answers with the class.3  Activity 3 Teacher leads students to look at the title of the passage as well as the picture and tick what they think is mentioned in the passage.10  Activity 4    1st reading :Teacher asks students to read the passage and check their answers.2nd reading : 1. Teacher leads students to pay attention to Learning to learn before they do the activity.2. Teacher asks students to read the passage again and summarize the main idea of each paragraph, then match the topic sentences with the paragraphs. 3. Teacher asks some students to share the answers with the class and give their reasons.2Activity 5 Teacher leads students to think about the genre of the passage and learn about it. 6  Think and Share  Teacher asks students to discuss the four questions in “Think and Share” and invites some students to share their opinions.10  Activity 6         Teacher asks students to act out an interview about gardening in Britain in pairs.Teacher asks students to read the passage again and find out important information.Teacher asks students to prepare questions and answers for the interview. Use the information from the passage. Teacher guides students to decide the roles of interviewer and interviewee.Teacher invites some pairs to act out their interviews.4 Activity 7Teacher encourages students to talk about Brits love of gardening. Homework     1. Read the passage on the handout and underline the topic sentence of each paragraph;2. Surf the Internet to collect some information about gardening in China and act out an interview about it.
