If a bird became sick, she tk gd care f it and stayed with it every day until it was strng enugh t fly again.In September 1987, ne f the birds went missing. The wrkers in the nature reserve lked everywhere, but n ne culd find it. Xiujuan was very wrried. She lked fr it day and night fr tw days. On the secnd night, while she was lking fr the missing bird, she fell int a river and died. She was nly 23.Later, a sng was written in memry f Xiujuan. Thugh Xiujuan died yung, peple always remember her when they hear the sng r see a red-crwned crane.
