Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Greet the class. 2. Ask and answer. Ask the Ss to use the following sentences: Look at the…/ How many …s do you see?/ I see…/ How many …s do you have?/ I have… First, T and Ss. Then, the little T and individuals. 3. Show the word cards about the numbers and revise the words by reading and spelling. 4. Review the dialogues in Part A and Part B. Ask some individuals to act out the dialogues. Step 2 Presentation & Practice 1. Play the sharp eyes game to practise the words. Present the words eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, six- teen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty on the screen, the Ss say the words as soon as possible. 2. Look and answer. Lead the Ss look at the table and try to make dialogue by using the sentence pattern How many …s do you see?/ I see…/ How many …s do you have?/ I have… 3. Show a seller and some school things to review the sentence pattern How many …s do you have?/ I have…./ Ask one S to be the seller and answer the question How many …s do you have? 4. Tick and cross. A. Ask the Ss to turn to P64 and tell the Ss the requirement of the exercises. B. Ask the Ss to read the words and check the answers. 5. Listen and number. A. Listen to the tape. B. Listen again and then tell the Ss to write out the numbers. C. Check the answers. 6. Learn to sing the song One, two, three, four, five. A. Follow the video to sing it one by one. B. Teach the new words. C. Ask the Ss try to sing it together. Encourage them to perform actions to the song. Step 3 Consolidation & Extension 1. Read the words and sentences in Unit 6. 2. Do exercises. A. I can read. B. Make a sentence. Step 3 Summary & Homework 1. Lead the whole class to repeat the sentences. 2. Homework Read the sentences seen in this unit. |
