    Step 1: Warm-up & Lead-in
    1. Greetings.
    2. Let’s chant. (课件出示:与月份相关的chant)
    3. Magic eyes.
    One student cmes t the frnt and hlds up the cards ne by ne. The ther students say ut the dates n the cards quickly.
    4. Lead-in.
    Shw the phts f sme famus peple.
    T: (课件出示:姚明图片及生日) Lk! Wh is he?
    Ss: He is Ya Ming.
    T: When is his birthday?
    Ss: It’s n September 12th.
    The teacher teaches “twelfth” and its shrt frm “12th”. Students learn the spelling and the prnunciatin f the wrd.

    Ss: He is Balzac.
    T: When is his birthday?
    Ss: It’s n May 20th.
    The teacher teaches “twentieth” and its shrt frm “20th”. Students learn the spelling and the prnunciatin f the wrd.

    Make a cmpetitin between bys and girls.
    Step 2: Presentatin
    1.Listen and match.

    T: Lk at the pht. Wh are they?
    Ss: They are Wu Yifan’s grandpa, grandma, dad, mum and Wu Yifan.

    Ss: …
    T: Let’s listen and match.
    The teacher plays the recrding. Students listen t the recrding and finish the task.
    2. Check the answers.
    T: OK! Let’s check the answers. When is Grandpa’s birthday?
    Ss: It’s n Octber 12th.
    T: When is Grandma’s birthday?
    Ss: It’s n April 20th.
    T: When is Dad’s birthday?
    Ss: It’s n Nvember 30th.
    The teacher teaches “thirtieth” and its shrt frm “30th”. Students learn the spelling and the prnunciatin f the wrd.
    T: When is Mum’s birthday?
    Ss: It’s n February 23rd.
    The teacher teaches “twenty-third” and its shrt frm “23rd”. Students learn the spelling and the prnunciatin f the wrds.
    T: When is Wu Yifan’s birthday?
    Ss: It’s n August 21st.The teacher teaches “twenty-first” and its shrt frm “21st”. Students learn the spelling and the prnunciatin f the wrd.
    3. Sum up.
    T: Lk at the numbers. Please try t find ut the rules.
    Students sum up the transfrmatin rules f numbers cardinal and rdinal numbers. The teacher prvides help if students can’t sum up. (课件出示:基数词变序数词的规则)
    4. Read and act.
    (1)The teacher plays the recrding f “Let’s learn”. Students read after it. Pay attentin t the prnunciatin and the intnatin.
    (2)Let students practise the dialgue in grups.
    (3)Act ut.

    1. Play the turntable game.
    Turn the turntable. And ask the student whse name is pinted t n the turntable abut his/her birthday.

    2. Make dialgues.
    (1)Let students make birthday cards. Then ask them t write dwn their birthdays n the cards.
    (2)Students make dialgues accrding t the cards.

    Step 4: Cnslidatin &Extensin
    “Yur favurite day”
    1. D a survey.
    Let students d a survey in grups f fur.
    T: Bys and girls! Please d a survey abut yur favurite days and the reasns in grups f fur.
    2. Make a reprt.
    Students talk abut their favurite days and make a reprt in the class.
    They can reprt like this: In ur grup, S1’s favurite day is… Because he/she can… S2’s favurite day is… Because he/she can… S3’s
    favurite day is… Because he/she can… S4’s favurite day is… Because he/she can…
    Then chse the best grup.

    1.设置多种游戏和活动,激发学生的学习兴趣,调动学生的学习热情,营造积极的学习氛围,很好地吸引学生的注意力。
    2.采用自然拼读法并利用旧知识教学单词,可以很好地帮助学生快速记忆单词词义及词形。注重学生学习方法和学习策略的培养。
    3.制作生日卡的活动能有效巩固学生对于自己和他人生日日期的表达。
    4.学生对于部分序数词的表达还不够准确和流畅,教师可以进行针对性的训练。
