Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Greet the class. 2. Ask and answer. What’s the date today? What day is it today? What’s the weather like today? What do you have for breakfast today? What do you have today? How old are you? Step 2 Presentation & Practice 1. Compare and say according to the photos. Mike is 13. Tom is 3. So Mike is young, but Tom is younger than Mike. And then show them the word younger. Lead them to read. And tell them this is the comparative adjective. 2. Show them the phonetic symbols, ask them to read and say. Pay attention to the pronunciation of younger.
