Greet the class.2. Oral communications. Talk about the school/weather.3. Show a picture of clothes. Ss say the words quickly.Then play a quick response game to review the words.4. Read the dialogue they have learned last period.Step 2 Presentation & Practice1. Review the sound of er /ə/. Show some words. Ask the Ss to find out the words according to my sounds. Help the Ss to choose and then check some individuals. 2. Use the same way to review the sound of ir, ur/ə:/ , al /ɔ:/, ar /ɑ:/, or /ɔ:/, /ɜ:/, -le / l /. 3. Practice the sounds. A. Listen and judge the sounds what I said. B. Listen and spell the words out according to my words.4. Read aloud the words. A. Draw the Ss’ attention to Page 60, and ask the Ss to read the words aloud.B. Listen and repeat the words. C. Ask individuals to read the words. Correct the pronunciation of these words.D. Work in pairs. Point and read the words.5. Look, listen and write. A. Play a spelling game. Focus on the words father, farmer, tall, ball, etc .B. According to the pictures on Page 60, ask the Ss to listen and write down the words. C. Check the answers.6. Listen and chant. A. Draw the children’s attention to the page.B.
