That research was cnducted by Juliana Schreder,assistant prfessr f University f Califrnia,Berkeley,and her clleagues.In Schreder’s study f almst 300 peple,participants were asked t watch,listen,and read arguments abut subjects they agreed r disagreed with.They were asked t judge the character f the cmmunicatr and the quality f the argument.Schreder’s team fund that the participants wh watched r listened t the cmmunicatr were less dismissive (抵触的) f their claims than when they read that cmmunicatr’s same argument.
