    Lawrence Huff hummed (发出连续低沉的声音) as he led his class f yga students n a recent Friday afternn.
    Dressed in range, the practitiners sat with their legs crssed.
    In the back f the classrm, an fficer sat with his arms flded, watching every mve.
    Every Friday, Huff vlunteers t teach yga t prisners at the Metr West prisn in Flrida, the US. The 71-year-ld has been ding this fr the past five years, and simply wants t share his lve f yga. “I cme here as a vlunteer and they are my students,” Huff said. “I really dn't get nervus. I knw where I am, but I dn't view them individually as criminals, but just as peple participating in a class.”
    With the prisn husing abut 1,800 prisners at any given time, there's a waiting list t get int the class.
    “I knw this is a ne day r anther, these peple are ging t get released, s we want t make sure that they are prductive members f sciety,” said Juan Diasgranads, public affairs manager fr the prisn.
    Huff teaches yga at tw ther jails and several libraries in Flrida. When he's nt teaching yga, he wrks as a substitute teacher at lcal schls. He said he gt the idea fr the yga classes because he knew smene wh had gne t prisn, s he cntacted lcal prisns and began ffering his yga services.
    But what keeps him cming back each week? “Because the peple are s appreciative. They are very enthusiastic abut every aspect abut it,” he said. “Because they spend mst f their time in a drm and are underging all kinds f stress, the classes are a peaceful space fr them.”
    Sme prisners have said the weekly yga classes have given them smething t lk frward t, as they ffer a break in their rutines.
    “It makes me feel fcused; it recharges me,” ne 42-year-ld prisner frm Miami said.
    “I was always familiar with yga but didn't actually understand it fully.
    “Nw that I am in here, there are all these bks and literature arund. I started studying it and nw understand it. I have taken it t anther level.”
