Step 1: Warm-up
- Greetings
T:Good morning, boys and girls
Ss: Good morning, Miss Jiang.
Step 2:Presentation
1.T: Do you like animals?
Ss: Yes,I do.
T: It’s sunny today,shall we go to the zoo?
Ss: Ok.
T:Open your books,and turn to P70. Listen to the radio,and mark the words and sentences that you don’t understand.
2.T:What animals we have learned?
S:......
3.T:Look at the PPT. Wow, What’s this ?
Ss: It’s a panda.
T: What’s this ?
Ss: It’s a bear.
T: What’s this ?
Ss: It’s a monkey.
4.T:Look at the picture, guess, what’s this?
Ss:长颈鹿
T:Yes,it’s a giraffe. Please read after me, giraffe, g-i-r-a-f-f-e, giraffe ,长颈鹿
Ss: giraffe, g-i-r-a-f-f-e, giraffe ,长颈鹿.
Teacher points to the picture and says: The giraffe is so tall. It has a long neck. Let them understand the meaning of this sentence. Then students read the sentences three times.
5.T:What’s this?
Ss:骆驼
T:Yes,it’s a camel. Now, read after me, camel, c-a-m-e-l, camel.骆驼
Ss: camel, c-a-m-e-l, camel.骆驼
Then teacher points the camel and says: The camel is so big. Students repeat.
6.Ask some students to write giraffe,camel on the blackboard.

- Ask students to work in pairs, draw their favorite animals, and make a dialogue.
