【精讲点拨】
一、s that和辨析
“ s + 形容词/ 副词 + that 从句” 意为 “如此……以至于……”,引导结果状语从句。
如：The stry is s funny that we all like it. 那个故事如此有趣，我们都很喜欢。
s that 意为“以便”，引导目的状语从句。
如：He gets up early every day s that he can catch up the early bus.
二、 used t d和be used t ding辨析。
used t后跟动词原形，意为“过去常做某事”；be used t后跟动名词，为固定搭配，意为“习惯于做某事”。例如：
He used t be quiet. But nw he is utging. 他以前很内向，但是现在很外向。
As a muntain climber, Arn is used t taking risks. 作为登山者，阿伦习惯于冒险。
三、“死亡”的不同形式
与“死亡”有关的英语单词形式有：
die为动词原形，其现在分词为dying，过去式为died，属于非延续性动词，不能与时间段连用；dead为形容词形式；death为名词形式。如：
His father died three years ag. 他爸爸三年前去世了。
The man hurt badly. He is dying. 这个男的伤得很厉害，正奄奄一息。
His father was dead when he was yung. 他小的时候，爸爸就去世了。
His father’s death made him very sad. 他爸爸的去世使他很伤感。
