Step 1: Lead in 

When I’m free, I like reading books. Books help me improve my knowledge. Do

 you like reading in your spare time? What books have you read recently?

Teach different types of books: science, cooking, travel, health, fantasy, history, novel,

 play,etc.

Step 2: presentation

Turn Page 49 and write the type of book under each picture. Then put a tick I the box

 if you’ve read this type of before.

Check the answers. Ask more questions: (1) What is the title of the book? What

 the book about?(2) Do you like the book? Why?

Play the tape with these questions: (10)What’s Daniel’s favourite type of book? (2)

 What’s he reading now? (3) What does Sandy like to read? What book does she think is

 great?

 Step 3: Practise

  Practise in pairs, and choose some pairs to act in front.

Step 4: Comic strip
