 Unit 1 Countries Lesson 1  I’m from Britain. 一、单元教学目标(Teaching aims)（一）知识目标(Knowledge aims)1. 能听懂、会说、认读、书写单词 China、from，听懂、会说、认读国家类词汇Canada、the U.S.、Britain。2. 能理解并在情景中运用句子：Where are you from? / I’m/We’re from… (询问对方来自哪里并作相应回答)（二）能力目标(Ability aims)能运用所学句型介绍自己的国籍及其他基本情况。（三）文化意识(Ability aims)通过了解中国及主要英语国家的标志性建筑物和其代表性动物，对学生进行适当的文化渗透及情感教育。二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)1. 词汇：China、from、Canada、the U.S.、Britain的发音及应用2. 句型：Where are you from? / I’m/We’re from…三、教学准备(Teaching preparation)教师准备：教学课件，课文动画，人物头饰，国家类单词卡片。四、教学过程Step 1: Warm-up  师生互动导入本节课话题（可允许学生们用汉语回答，或英汉混用，这样可以活跃气氛，拉近距离，让学生以愉悦的心情进入下面的学习。下同。）1. Greetings.  Hello, everyone!Welcome back to school. （欢迎学生们回到学校。）2. Free talk.教师询问学生的假期情况：What did you do during the holiday? (找几个学生起来说一声假期做了什么，如做作业、旅游、探亲等，以活跃气氛，并为下面做铺垫)Where did you go?Did you make some new friends? Can you introduce them to us.(His/Her name, age, country… ) （让学生介绍自己的新朋友的基本情况）最后，教师用PPT展示学生们的老朋友 Li Ming，可带头饰。并介绍：Li Ming has some new friends, too！ Let’s go and see. Who are they?Step 2：Presentation 教师让学生看课本P2~3, 分小组让学生找出Li Ming的新朋友。 继续看课本P4，让学生认出这些新朋友都是谁：Jim、Mike、Mary。教师戴上Li Ming的头饰，并说： I’m from China. China is our country. I love it.  教师接着说：OK, class. I’m from China. Where are you from? 让学生用“I’m from China.”回答。教师接着提出问题：“Jim、Mike、Mary的国籍分别是什么。” 并播放Listen and say 部分的课文动画，让学生从中找到答案。学生回答正确之后，接着分小组进行角色扮演：If you are Jim, where are you from?   回答“I’m from Canada.”If you are Mike, where are you from?  回答“I’m from the U.S..”If you are Mary, where are you from?  回答“I’m from Britain.”巩固练习：齐声唱《Where are you from》(用两只老虎的曲调)Where are you from? Where are you from?I’m from China. I’m from China.Where are you from? Where are you from?I’m from Canada. I’m from Canada.Where are you from? Where are you from?I’m from Britain. I’m from Britain.…让学生继续看课本P5，教师展示PPT，并逐一出示单词卡片China、Canada、the U.S.、Britain，进行深入学习——发音、应用及各国的标志性建筑物。China  长城图Canada  枫林大道图the U.S.  金门大桥图Britain 伦敦塔桥图教师请学生扮演憨豆（戴憨豆头饰），轮流练习课文P5第3部分的对话。 Step 3: Practice 1. Play a game: Sharp Eyes  ①快速举起Li Ming、Jim、Mike、Mary的头饰，让学生说出其国籍。②展示各国的标志性建筑物图片，并让学生快速说出其国家名称。2. Group work（教师可提前给每个小组发放代表国家的小卡片）。Make a dialogue in groups.A: Hello!B: Hello! What’s your name?A: I’m …B: Where are you from?A: I’m from…Step 4: Consolidation 教师组织学生在班级内开展小组合作活动。 运用“Where are you from? I’m from+城市名。”调研学生都来自哪个城市。共同完成统计表格，并最后展示给大家，以增进同学间的了解。 NamesWhere are you from?TaianQingdaoWeifang…                Step 5: Summary师生一起总结本课所学的词汇和句型，鼓励学生提出问题。教师点评学生的表现。 Step 6: Homework1. Listen and repeat the text for 3 times.（听课文录音，模仿跟读3遍）2. Learn and sing the song Country in groups.（以小组为单位学唱歌曲《国家》）3. Find more information about the countries.
