quantity n.数量，量：Quality is more important than quantity, but without quantity there can be no quality.

quit(quit, quit) v.
①辞职，离去：I’ve quit my job.我已辞职。
②停止(做某事)：He told me to quit smoking.他叫我戒烟。
He asked them to quit talking.他叫他们不要说话。
quite adv.①十分，相当：We are quite tired.我们相当累了。
②完全：That’s quite impossible.那完全不可能。
【拓展】①与不定冠词连用时，通常置于其前，但有时也可置于其后：
He is quite a clever boy.=He is a quite clever boy.他是个相当聪明的男孩。
②除用于quite better(身体好)外，一般不用来修饰比较级，如不说quite colder等。

③对……起作用(产生影响)：Unkindness often reacts on the unkind person.恶人有恶报。
