读后续写 阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Steve was the most amazing person in all of Minneapolis, and he was my cousin. By the age of 19, Steve was a star baseball player at the University of Minnesota. I wanted to be exactly like him. So when Steve asked me to go with him on a spring fishing trip in northern Minnesota, I was excited!
After planning the trip, we gathered clothes and supplies, and began our great adventure. We reached the Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota by early evening. On our way to the campsite, Steve pointed to a small house faraway in one of the mountains, saying that it was the ranger station (护林站) where the forester worked.
Finally, after a long walk, we reached the campsite and set up the camp as the sun was setting. Steve knew all the tricks of an experienced wilderness camper. After we gathered enough wood from the forest, he started the campfire using only stone and steel — no matches. For supper we feasted on freeze-dried beef, wild rice and pea soup. I ate greedily after all that work.
Tired enough, we climbed into our sleeping bags early and talked about our plans for fishing the next day. We were still talking quietly when a sudden north wind picked up; the temperature dropped and it began to snow. Steve found a way to increase the temperature inside the tent. He dragged a log (原木) from the forest to the opposite side of the campfire. Then he wrapped (包裹) aluminum foil (铝箔) around the log. The heat from the fire reflected off the foil and into the tent. Soon images of lake fish were filling my dreams.
The snow had stopped, but sometime later a powerful wind must have kicked up the flames of our dying fire. I was abruptly awakened by Steve. Our tent was on fire. Frightened, I ran out of the tent immediately. The tent collapsed (倒塌) with Steve inside. Without any thought of endangering myself, I reached into the burning tent and pulled him to the icy lake. Fortunately, we were not seriously hurt.

读后续写 阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
One time, the teachers at a school wanted to teach the students about airplanes. While all airplanes can fly, some are able to fly farther than others. This is because not all airplanes are built the same. For example, a fighter plane looks very different from a plane that people fly in when they want to go on a holiday. The teachers wondered how they could make students understand this.
Then, the science teacher, Mr Moose, decided that the school should have a paper airplane contest. Every student would design a paper airplane. They would stand in a line in the playground behind the school. The students would take turns throwing their airplanes. The student whose airplane went the farthest would win.
When Mr Moose announced the paper airplane contest to the students, they were very excited. A student named Paul, who was on the school sports team, said to everyone else that his airplane would win. “I am the strongest,” Paul said. “So I will be able to throw my airplane the farthest.”
However, while Paul was saying this, another student, Brian, was thinking how he could win. Brian did not play any sports and was not very strong. But he loved airplanes and really wanted to win the contest.
Brian realized what he had to do. He went to the store and bought a big stack (叠) of paper. When he got home, he took the paper into his backyard. He took a piece of paper and folded an airplane. It didn’t go very far, so Brian took another piece and folded another airplane and threw it. This airplane went a little farther. Brian kept folding different kinds of airplanes and throwing them. Some went very far and some did not. Finally, when Brian had used all the paper, he walked up to the airplane that had flown the farthest and picked it up.
The next day was the contest. All the students lined up. Everyone took turns. After a while, everyone had thrown except Paul and Brian. Paul went first. With a loud yell, he threw the airplane into the sky. It went farther than every other airplane. Everyone cheered.

读后续写 阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Jeremy couldn’t believe his luck. The morning of his 6th grade field trip to the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the Museum of Natural History, he fell ill. “This can’t be,” he thought. “Science is my favorite subject, and I’m not going to be able to visit the museum?” He pleaded (恳求) with his parents to let him go to school anyway, but they were firm in their refusal. “The sooner you rest at home, the sooner you’ll get better,” his mother said. “Don’t be so hard on yourself. Now take this medicine and go lie back down.”
Jeremy closed his eyes as he swallowed the white tablet. Even though it was sunny outside, he felt a black cloud hovering (盘旋) over his head, threatening stormy weather inside his brain and making him angry. But soon after he lay in bed, the medicine his mother had given him began working, and he fell asleep almost right away.
When Jeremy awoke, his room was bathed in darkness. When he looked out of his window, he saw stars shinning in the dark sky. Then Jeremy’s dad walked into his room with a smile on his face. “You’re awake, Jeremy,” he said.
“What time is it? Did I miss everything?” Jeremy asked. His father put a hand on his forehead and checked for a temperature. Nothing. “Not at all, in fact, you’re just in time for your field trip. If you’re feeling better, that is.” Jeremy jumped out of bed and did a little dance. His energy was back. “I’m feeling fine,” he said. “Great. Now put on a sweater and follow me,” said Jeremy’s dad.
Jeremy checked the time as he was getting dressed. 8:05 pm. It didn’t make any sense. Where could he possibly be going with his father so late in the day? Surely the museum was closed. But Jeremy didn’t slow down. He dressed and met his father in the living room, where he was sitting with a man he had never met before.

读后续写 阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Summer vacation had just begun, and Alex and Maria were ready to spend all day outside. They decided to walk to the neighborhood park, where there was a river that they liked to swim in when it was particularly hot.
When they got to the river, they saw that it was too deep to swim in. Alex and Maria were disappointed. On the other side of the river, about fifty yards away, there was a fountain from which the water is flowing out.” We should go play in the fountain,” Maria said.“How will we get there?” asked Alex.
Maria looked around the grassy riverbank and noticed a few logs and branches lying close to the water. “We could build a bridge!” she said. She ran over to a thick log that looked long enough to be placed across the river. Together, she and Alex lifted the log onto their shoulders and walked it to the water. Here, they stopped. How would they get the branch across?
Maria suggested throwing it down into the water and seeing if it reached the other side. That seemed improper to Alex – what if the branch did not reach the other side of the river, and got stuck or swept away by the water? Then they would be unable to walk all the way across the river.
Maria wondered if they could measure the distance from the riverbank they stood on to the other shore. They put the log carefully down and decided to test the distance with lighter, thinner branches. They found a few branches and they tied the branches together using their hair bands.
At their first attempt, they tied two branches together and went back to the river to test the length. The branches only reached the center of the water. After tying two more branches together to the initial branches, Alex and Maria were able to get the thin model bridge to touch the far bank. “Hooray!” Maria said. “Now we know how long the log needs to be.”
Paragraph 1:
They set the tied branches on the ground next to the log.

A funny thing happened to Arthur when he was on the way to work one day. As he walked along Park Avenue near the First National Bank, he heard the sound of someone trying to start a car. He tried again and again but couldn’t get the car moving. Arthur turned and looked inside at the face of a young man who looked worried. Arthur stopped and asked, “It looks like you’ve got a problem,” Arthur said.
“I’m afraid so. I’m in a big hurry and I can’t start my car.”
“Is there something I can do to help?” Arthur asked. The young man looked at the two suitcases in the back seat and then said, “Thanks. If you’re sure it wouldn’t be too much trouble, you could help me get these suitcases into a taxi.”
“No trouble at all. I’d be glad to help.”
The young man got out and took one of the suitcases from the back seat. After placing it on the ground, he turned to get the other one. Just as Arthur picked up the first suitcase and started walking, he heard the long loud noise of an alarm.
It was from the bank. There had been a robbery (抢劫)!
Park Avenue had been quiet a moment before. Now the air was filled with the sound of the alarm and the shouts of people running from all directions. Cars stopped and the passengers joined the crowd in front of the bank. People asked each other, “What happened?” But everyone had a different answer.
Arthur, still carrying the suitcase, turned to look at the bank and walked right into the young woman in front of him.
She looked at the suitcase and then at him. Arthur was surprised. “Why is she looking at me like that?” He thought. “The suitcase! She thinks I’m the bank thief!”
Arthur looked around at the crowd of people. He became frightened, and without another thought, he started to run.
