“These students are prpelled by a lve fr music, the arts, and shw business. It's an exciting career fr a music lver,” said HLS Clinical Prfessr f Law Brian Price, wh's in charge f the Entertainment Law Clinic.
Price added, “Althugh entertainment lawyers wrk behind the scenes, they can have a bigger influence n artists' careers than managers. They review artists’ agreements, deals and cntacts, making sure their custmers, interests are prtected.”
“Artists are becming wise and want t be invlved in the business aspects f their careers,” said Price. “When they ask fr legal advice, they want t knw their legal rights, and hw t make gd deals and find ways t make mre mney.” Mst HLS graduates end up wrking in business r crprate law, thugh sme have had successful careers in the entertainment industry.
