Scottish Storytelling Centre， Edinburgh

    The Centre's idea is summed up nicely by the old Scottish proverb， "The story is told eye to eye， mind to mind and heart to heart". The main draw is its programme of spoken﹣word performances， most of which take place in its 100﹣seat basement theatre. The storytelling doesn't just happen on stage， though. Also worth a look is Animals， Beasties and Monsters of Scotland by Lea Taylor， which forms part of The History Pres's superb compilation （编纂） of regional Scottish folk stories. There are also Scots' versions of Harry Potter， as well as Roald Dahl's The Twits.

    Getting there

    The centre is in the middle of Edinburgh's Old Town， at the eastern end of the Royal Mile. It's a five﹣minute walk from Waverley railway station. It is web﹣based and doesn't require downloads or an application on your devices. Guests can join the live call right from the website by clicking on your personal meeting ID link.

    To use the additional features like 300﹣way calling， Microsoft integrations and 4K video conference room systems requires a paid subscription.

You can select from a number of categories，including games，shops，bars，museums and TV shows， and then make a list of the ones that interest you. It's a great app for anyone struggling to remember the things they want to watch， visit， read， play and listen to.
