Most of the boys are weak in spoken-English and in introducing their favourite things in English.

【教学过程】

Ⅰ．Lead in by discussing the following questions.

——How old is Wang Mei?

——What is Wang Mei's favorite food?

——Why does Wang Mei want to have some English-speaking friends?

Discussion the questions in groups.

Ⅱ．New words

Teach the new words one by one and explain the important words.

Ⅲ．Listening

1．Listen to tape and answer the questions.

（2）What does Wang Mei want to get from Jessica?

2．Finish the task in oral

Ⅳ．Read the passage and answer the questions.

Read the passage again and let the students retell the e-mail in their own words. Let them sum the main idea of the e-mail.
