Lead-in

Students Watch a short video and answer the question.

Then lead students to learn the words of animals and key phrases according to the pictures.

Step 1

Presentation:

Students do the ask and answer practice according to the pictures, lead them to learn the key phrases of daily activities.

While practice saying the sentences, students pay attention to the differences of the verbs.

Then students do more speaking practice:

While practicing, they should pay attention to the times.

1a: Match the phrases with the pictures.

1b: Listen and circle the three things Carol did on her

school trip in 1a.

Watch a video and answer the questions.

Students do consolidation practice by guessing what the people in the pictures did in the past.

2a: Listen and check(√) the questions you hear.

Read and understand the sentences.

2b: Listen again. Circle T for true or F for false.

2c: Ask and answer questions about Carol’s visit to the farm.

2d: Eric and Peter are talking about the trip in the countryside. Read and answer the questions.

anything pron. 任何东西；任何事物

anything是不定代词，常用于否定句或疑问句中。作主语时，谓语动词要用单数形式。形容词修饰anything时要后置。

He can’t see anything now. It's too dark.

   他现在什么也看不到。天太黑了。

Is there anything to eat in your house?

   你家有任何的东西吗？

不定代词有：something、anything、everything、nothing. something常用于肯定句和表示委婉的邀请、请求、建议等希望得到肯定回答的问句中。

everything表示“一切”， 可用于任何句型。

nothing 表示“没什么事或物”，是否定词。

4. Did you grow any apples?

grow作及物动词，意为“种植”。

grow作不及物动词，意为“生长，发育；成长，增长”。常用短语：

grow up 成长，长大  grow into 成长为，发展成

The village will ________ a big city in five years. (发展成)

5.How was your trip last week?

本句为询问某事情况的常用句型。

句型结构：How was/were…?

常用答语：It was great.  好极了   

          It was ok.  还可以               

          It wasn’t good.   不好

          It was not bad.    还不错

6. — What did you do?

(1)“What did you do?”是由what引导的一般过去时的特殊疑问句，询问对方在过去的时间做了什么事请。did是do的过去式，作助动词，后跟动词原形。

I went fishing last Sunday. (就划线部分提问)

7. I visited my grandparents in the countryside.

    我去看望了乡下的爷爷奶奶。

     in the countryside     在乡下

     countryside在此处等同于country,都是“乡下，农村”之意，往往和冠词 “the” 搭配连用。

     country 还可以表示“国家”的意思。

e.g. We had a nice day in the ___________.

   China is the third largest _________ in the world.
