【教材】 Module 8 Story time
【教学思想】本节课是结合本班学生现状,按照新课标的要求,以学生为中心设计的一节课。《英语新课程标准》对基础教育阶段英语课程目标的要求中提到“激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,形成有效的学习策略,发展合作精神。”因此本课从课堂导入环节、听力训练环节、语言内化环节到语言输出环节都严格按照课标精神,让学生成为课堂的主体。通过设计不同梯度并富有趣味性的任务帮助学生实现学习目标。
【教学分析】
一、教材分析
本模块以“故事”为题材,Unit1和Unit 2 介绍了《金凤花和三只熊》的故事。金凤花姑娘在林中采花时迷路,进入三只熊的家,吃掉了小熊的食物,坐坏了它的椅子,睡在它的床上,待三只熊回家后,金凤花姑娘仓皇而逃。本模块任务要求学生能够用英语讲故事。书中unit 1为听力文本,unit 2为阅读文本。为了帮助学生在一堂课中学习讲英语故事的方法,本课中对Unit1和Unit2《金凤花和三只熊》的教学内容进行了文本再构,将两部分整合成一个故事,用听对该故事内容进行输入,设计了有梯度的听力练习。第一个听力活动听故事人物和地点,难度较低。第二个听力活动按照故事情节将听力活动分成三个部分,每个部分听后为故事插图排序,抓取体现故事情节的关键词。引导学生明白体现故事情节的关键词是动词,描述过去动作应使用过去式动词。教师在ppt上用不同颜色对过去式动词做了强调。听完三个部分后,让学生概括每个部分发生的时间点,从而让学生明白这个故事是按照时间顺序发展的。听力活动由浅入深,有助于学生对故事内容的全面了解,同时让学生明白在听故事时应该关注故事的五个要素,即who, where, when, what, how,五个要素中掌握what是重中之重。在语言输出前,设计了一系列语言内化活动。第一个活动是让学生听后朗读课文。通过朗读学生可加深对故事情节的认识,并纠正语音。第二个活动是让学生单独练习故事复述,为学生提供个体学习内化时间。第三个活动播放故事视频,让学生进行描述。该活动具有较强趣味性,可以激发学生学习兴趣,同时进一步为语言输出做准备。在语言输出环节,将学生分成四人小组,每人可根据自己目前英语学习能力负责复述2-4幅插图。同时,教师为学生提供了便于操作的评价表,在学生间开展学习效果的评价。
二、学情分析
本班是初一5班的学生。本班绝大多数学生喜欢英语学习,积极参与课堂讨论,部分学生有较强的语言表达能力。根据VAK理论,学生群体可分为听觉学习者、视觉学习者、动觉学习者等,本课中教师在课堂设计中通过图片、听力材料、视频、分组活动等,充分考虑并试图满足不同类型学习者的学习需求。
M8的话题是故事。学生对故事既喜欢又熟悉,但是对如何听懂英语故事、复述好英语故事缺乏方法的支撑。本课旨在通过活动,引导学生学习听英语故事讲英语故事的方法。同时在教学活动的梯度设计上,由浅入深。在分组活动中,也考虑到学生现有英语能力的差异。

One day, a girl called Goldilocks walked into the forest. When she played in the forest, she first picked some flowers. But soon she was lost. Then, she found a little house. She knocked on the door but nobody answered. When she entered the house, she saw three bowls. One bowl was small, one was big and one was very big. She was hungry so she finished the food in the small bowl. After dinner, she tried the three chairs. She liked the small one because it was very comfortable. After that, Goldilocks got tired and went into the bedroom. She tried the three beds and was asleep in the small bed. After a while, the three bears returned. Baby bear cried because someone ate his food and his chair broke into pieces. They went into the bedroom. Baby bear pointed at Goldilocks and shouted, “Look, there’s the bad girl!” Finally, Goldilocks woke up and ran out of the house.
