修饰名词或不定代词，说明事物和人的性质 和特征
修饰动词、形容词或其他副词
1.形容词作定语，放在名词前，不定代词后

2. 一些表示情感的形容词后可接动词不定式
be glad/sad/kind/ afraid/ easy/difficult t d sth.

3.the+形容词，表示一类人或物

4. enugh修饰名词时可前可后；修饰形容词或副词时后置

5. 形容词在be动词或系动词后作表语
(1) He is hard-wrking.(2) The fd tastes delicius.
比较级 最高级
直接加er；e加r；双写加er；变y为i+er；多音节和部分双音节，加mre,the mst
1. 使用比较级时，应该是同类进行对比
“我的英语不如你的好”“My English is nt as(s)gd as yurs.”“My English is nt as gd as yu.”
2. 使用比较级时，注意范围
China is larger than any ther cuntry in Asia.China is larger than any cuntry in Africa.
她比班上其他女生都要高。
She is taller than any ther girl in her class.
3.比较级的结构表示最高级意义
He is the tallest student in his class.
=He is taller than any ther student in his class.
=He is taller than the ther students in his class.
=He is taller than anyne else in his class.
=He is taller than the rest f the students in his class.
=N ne is taller than him in his class.
Daniel is the taller ne f the tw brthers.
4. the+比较级，表示“两者中较……的”
Miss Li is ne f the mst ppular teachers in ur schl.
5.ne f+ 最高级“ ……是最……的之一”
长江是世界上最长的河流之一。
The Yangtze River is ne f the lngest rivers in the wrld.
The Yellw River is the secnd lngest river in China.
6.序数词+最高级，表示“第几最...的”
She is grwing fatter and fatter.Our cuntry is becming mre and mre beautiful.
7. 比较级＋and＋比较级，“越来越…”多音节词用mre and mre＋形容词或副词
The busier the ld man is,the happier he feels.
8.the＋比较级，the＋比较级，“越……，就越……”
你越努力，你的成绩就越好。
The harder yu study, the better yur grades will be.
English is as interesting as Chinese.
Chinese is nt s interesting as English.
（1）表示“不如”，多音节形容词还可以用less thanChinese is less interesting than English.
（2）nce/twice/three times as... as...表示倍数
Our schl is three times as big as theirs.
The weather f Jinan is clder than that f Yunnan in winter.
10.为了避免重复，可用that, the ne, thse 代替前面出现过的名词
The students in Class One are taller than thse in Class Tw.
