一、学情分析
单元及课文分析
本单元的日常生活用语主要围绕“Travel in Beijing”这一话题展开。教材为学生提供了Li Ming , Mrs. Li , Jenny and Danny 一起游览北京的天安门广场，故宫和长城，并且到王府井购物这些场景。帮助学生理解并掌握外出游玩和观赏时常用的英语表达方式。结合本课重点内容，我们应给学生创设游览和介绍长城这一情境，通过本课重点问题导入引导学生一起进入本课的学习。
学生分析
五年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用， 既是四年级的衍生又是六年级的铺垫。学生已经接触英语三年，具备一定的听、说、读、写能力，他们中大部分同学热爱英语，并愿意积极表达，一小部分学生在学习中逐渐掉队，在保证大部分同学学习的基础上，也要关注学困生。
2、教学重点
（1）学生能够听懂并且理解这个简单的故事。
（2）学生可以根据故事进行简单的问答。
3、教学难点
（1）使学生能够正确理解故事。
（2）复述故事。
4、教学目标
语言知识与技能
(1)能听懂并读懂故事。
(2)朗读故事并在老师帮助下复述表演故事。
情感态度
(1)鼓励学生勇于尝试，尊重学生个性差异，让不同层次的学生从不同角度体验到英语学习成功的喜悦。
(2)了解景点知识的同时引导学生良好的文明行为习惯。
学习策略
通过创设情境并设疑来培养学生的阅读策略。
教学准备
教师准备本课的单词和短语卡片、图片以及多媒体课件。

设计思路：通过对北京名胜古迹图片的回顾激活学生的原有知识，给学生营造了一个轻松愉悦的学习氛围，调动学生的旅游兴趣，引出本课主题。
StepⅡ Reading (35minutes)
Pre-reading:
Watch the mvie abut the Great Wall.
Teacher: I was shcked by the Great Wall.What d yu think abut the Great Wall? (板书lng,big,beautiful,，领读，反复读，出示长城视频。）
设计思路：激活学生对长城的原有认知，为读故事做好铺垫，并复习与故事课相关的词汇。
Let’s discver the beauty f the Great Wall.Let’s invite ur friends Danny ,Jenny and Li Ming,Let’s listen what they are talking abut.
Watch the vide abut the text.
Encurage students t make their wn questins abut the text.
设计思路：了解学生对课文第一部分的理解和掌握情况，指导学生观看视频边思考，在理解的基础上组织语言，初步掌握默读的阅读策略。
3.带着学生们提出的问题逐图分析课文内容。

（2）Hw ld is the ldest part f the Great Wall? (出示PPT)
（3）Encurage students t read the sentences ne by ne, bys and girls.
(4) Watch the vide abut the Great Wall.Then we can knw mre abut the Great Wall.
设计思路：寻读。在学生阅读前给出针对性的问题，让学生目的明确的进行阅读。
